Each morning brings a fresh set of all three, easy early in the week and harder by Saturday, with a Sunday Challenge to finish it off. Now for iPhone, iPad and Android.
Features
Crossword
Grids run from a quick criss-cross early in the week to a full 21×21 Sunday crossword. On a tablet the clues sit beside the grid; on a phone a clue bar and a keyboard made for the puzzle keep everything in reach. Tap a square twice to switch between across and down.
Word Search
Every puzzle has a theme, from musical instruments to rivers of the world, and holidays from around the world get their own: Lunar New Year, Holi, Passover, Easter, Eid, Diwali, Day of the Dead, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa and many more. Swipe across a word to circle it; the swipe snaps to the line you meant.
Word Jumble
Unscramble each word: green means you have it, gold means a real word but not this one, red means not a word. Then the circled letters, shuffled, spell the answer to a riddle, from old folk riddles to dad jokes that will make you groan.
A New Set Every Day
Monday and Thursday are easy, Tuesday and Friday medium, Wednesday and Saturday hard, and Sunday is the Challenge: a newspaper-size crossword, a packed word search, and a jumble whose answer is a whole phrase.
The Archive
Missed a day? Every earlier puzzle waits in the archive, and any puzzle can be started over.
Leaderboards and Friends
With an optional DDAP Sigil, your first finish of each day's puzzles goes on the leaderboards, friends first, then everyone, and your progress follows you across devices. Add friends by code. Your Sigil is a player identity with a gamertag you choose and no account, email or password. Every puzzle plays without one.
Made for Tablets
Designed for the iPad first, in either orientation, and plays just as well on phones. The paintings behind the puzzles change with the seasons.

Privacy
Your progress is stored on your device. Leaderboards and friends are optional and use a DDAP Sigil: a random ID, the gamertag you choose, and your game results, with no account, name, email, phone number or location. Data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to track you, and you can delete your Sigil and all of its data from inside the app at any time. Read the full privacy policy.

Word Abyss is in private beta for iPhone, iPad, and Android phones and tablets. Testing is by invitation: tap Request Beta Access below and fill in the short form in the email: your device, operating system and version, and the Apple ID or Google account you use with the App Store or Google Play. Test invitations are tied to that account, so please use the one on your device.
