Aporath

Slide the stones and lead the hero out.

Uses DDAP Sigil

Aporath is a sliding-block puzzle with one goal: get the hero's shield out through the doorway in as few moves as you can.

Slide the glazed slabs out of the way. Long bars move only along their length; the shield and the small blocks move any way; rough stones never move. A slide counts as one move, however far it goes. Every board was solved before it reached you, so its par is the true fewest moves, not a guess.

How It Plays

🏛️

Six Myths, Ninety Boards

Each myth is a vase with its own rule and a boss board at its end: Theseus in the Labyrinth, Odysseus in the Cyclops's cave, Orpheus leaving the Underworld, Perseus and Medusa, Jason and the Clashing Rocks, and Heracles and his labors.

🪨

A Rule for Every Myth

Herd the sheep aside in the Cyclops's cave. Don't look back: leaving the Underworld, the shield moves only toward the door. Never stop where Medusa can see you. Rocks bound together move together, and Heracles's heavy pieces move one square at a time.

⭐

Stars, Par and the Thread

Three stars at par, two within two moves of it, one for any way out. Undo is free. Stuck? Follow Ariadne's thread: it shows the best next move from wherever you are, at the cost of a star.

🔓

Never Stuck for Long

Boards open as you go, and the next myth opens once you've earned 24 stars in the one before, so one board you can't crack never stops you.

📅

The Daily

One board a day, the same for everyone, from the Games of Zeus at Olympia: easy on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, medium on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, hard on Sunday. Your first finish counts: fewest moves, then fastest. Then share it as a picture on a prize amphora.

🏺

Black-Figure Style

Black-glazed slabs on terracotta, a meander border, every myth's story painted on its own vase and a line of the myth above every board, with sounds of fired clay and a plucked lyre. Stats track boards solved, boards at par, move efficiency, and your par and Daily streaks.
